SAVE THE DATE: American Red Cross Blood Drive at ISM 

SLO's Social Responsibility department is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Driver on the ISM campus on Wednesday, March 11 from 9:00am-3:00pm.  Sign-ups will be sent out next week.  

 

NEXT WEEK - Term 2 Finals Relief (March 2-6) - SLO hosted relief activities

The SLO Leadership team has scheduled some fun finals relief activities for the students!  One activity (sponsored by Friends of ISM) is that we have two llamas coming to visit us!  All students in Preschool-12th grade will have a time slot to be able to meet the llamas!

 

Student Life Training Conference 2026 - July 9-16, 2026 - Amman, Jordan

Each year, SABIS schools from around the world bring student leaders together for learning, discussion, team building, culture, and fun!  This year's Student Life Training Conference will be held in Amman, Jordan from July 9-16, 2026.  Students currently in grades 8-11 are encouraged to apply to attend.  Two ISM students will be selected throughout the application process.  If chosen, this is an all-expenses paid trip for the student leaders. Stay tuned for more details on how students can apply!

 

Coming up in March:

Wood Duck House opening (Tuesday, March 10) - hosted by the Social Responsibility department, legacy project from the 2024-2025 SLO leadership team - students will go out onto ISM property and open up and prepare the seven wood duck houses along Nine Mile Creek on ISM's property edge leading to Bryant Lake

Green River Greening Collaboration - (End of March - End of April) - Collaboration with Nine Mile Creek Watershed District, Green River Greening, ISM Science department, and SLO Social Responsibility - students in grades 6-12 will have the opportunity to engage in bio-monitoring to test water species and native/invasive plant species.  Stay tuned for more information.
